SIMCO was an endeavor by one of the members of RSTS, Mr. A S M Ibrahim. He developed laboratory kits for Physics education and needed a platform to distribute the products. Initially, RSTS provided this platform and Mr. Ibrahim started promoting his products under the brand name SIMCO. Within a brief time SIMCO became strong enough to stand on its own and was allowed to be separated from RSTS. Thus, SIMCO is another successful example of the fostering objectives of RSTS.
